As someone posted, the digest comes once a day with all of the posts for the
previous day. You sign up for the digest by going to the ArtEdTalk sign up
page and change the line to get the messages in one e-mail instead of
separate messages. I like the digest form because there is just one e-mail
to open and one e-mail to delete. The one disadvantage is that you can not
easily reply to one particular post. I usually copy and paste the original
poster's e-mail address into a new message to reply personally.
Now for news of Tom in Potter (Tom Johnsen). Tom is swamped right now and is
not on the list (He did tell me to say "Hello" to everyone). He did get his
grant for the mini theater and is very excited about it. Here is small part
of the message I received from him:
>I hope to make a small, portable theatre which can be set up in a
>regular sized classroom (furniture would have to be moved, maybe stacked
>in a corner, or it could become part of the stage.) By making generic
>sets using fabric as much as possible, we can create forests, rocks,
>streams, all while a narrator might set up a scene.
Has anyone out there had any experience with Shadow Plays? This is Tom's
first project. I sent him what information I found on the Net but have very
little personal experience. What kinds of lights work best?
mailto:mdecker@alpha.wcoil.com
(or to the list) I will forward anything you send to Tom.
Judy Decker
P.S. (for anyone still reading....) We have a new member in the Decker
family as of today. Her name is "Tricks". She is a blue 1974 MG-BGT. She has
a lot of pep and a very lovely smile (really--quite a cute expression). My
son found her on the Internet--from Michigan. We went up to pick her up
today. My husband and son had their first visit with "Tricks" two weeks ago.
I was afraid to ask why her name was "Tricks"...so far she hasn't done
anything out of the ordinary as far as little cars go. After all this, I
decided my mini van needed a name too. I decided he was "Bud"
