Did you know that crayons have a low flash point? When my
son was 3 he decided to put them on the electric range,
turn the range on, and then come get me as I was making
the beds because his hand got "hot". I had left him
watching Sesame Street so I could straighten up. I still
wonder what exactly on Sesame Street prompted him to
investigate this encaustic technique.
