I make my kids responsible for their own messes - in the hopes that they will
learn to be neater. My kinders are the last of the day and those little
fingers can pick up the minutest scrap of paper. They love to crawl through
the legs of chairs and tables
- make an adventure game out of it. All you higher grade art teachers - see
the advantage of the wee ones - they want to help. Other grades - 1-5
fight for the use of the brooms as they say "my mom won;t let me sweep at
home" . My custodian is spoiled by me very little to sweep up and I give him
cookies from time to time and a nice food basket at Christmas.
Then hopefully when I have a big favor to ask or it is time to repair some
furniture
my room gets the attention first and there is less bellyaching of custodial
staff. about my room. Of course glitter time - Christmas and Valentines Day
their patience is tested. Roberta
