Yes we do. I was fortunate to not know what I wanted to do in art so just
took
a whole lot of art history courses to get my feet wet and then went into
studio art and then into art education. I was surprised and shocked how many
art ed.majors
had such a poor background in art history. Some artists that I felt were
well known
they knew nothing about - Art Ed. programs should prepare art teachers in all
areas.
As I stated in another posting I am weak in some skills as I took them during
the
"minimal weak 70's" and feel I haven;t caught up on them yet. So someone
could fault me there too. We need to support each other as we do on this
