Hi all,

I am new to this e-group and it is wonderful! I am enjoying all the
news and helpful hints from every one!

Now, I have a question and I hope someone out there can help me out. I
am an artist, plus an adjunct art teacher in couple of local colleges.
I have just been asked to teach an elective Humanities course/Intro to
Drawing/101 to freshman, where I teach Intro to Sculpture.

The question I am asking, please -- can anyone recommend a very
comprehensive drawing textbook that I can use for this new Humanities
101/Intro to Drawing class? It would have to include proportions,
linear perspectives, etc.

I have taught it at one of the colleges for about four years and
everything went great except for this year when the college changed the
textbook (the old one is out of print now). The new textbook is a
tech/design type book which is not at all comprehensive. I have had to
rely on my previous notes, projects, photocoping endless handouts, etc.
to literally "teach" drawing, because of this new textbook, which is
terrible.

Any help that you can offer would truly be appreciated.

Thanks.

Anne-Marie
