Hi, Art Cyberpals--
Just browsing, I found 4 great books at the library today. Let me share the
titles with you. I think your art students (K-2) will love these:
1. Lobel, Anita: One Lighthouse One Moon
(Great illustrations, the four seasons, the basic colors, and an exciting
adventure all in one book. I love all of Anita Lobel's books-she always wins
many awards)
2. Lobel, Arnold: The Great Blueness and other Predicaments
(About a magical world of blue trees, yellow ice and black cheese! Found by
accident when I was looking for Anita Lobel's books!)
3. Polacco, Patricia: The Keeping Quilt
(Another one of my favorites children's authors. Great story and
illustrations--
good springboard for art quilts)
4. Parillo, Tony: Michelangelo's Surprise
(Not sure about this one for the K-2 kids. Liked this story and can connect
to Italian Renaissance period for intermediate grades)
Enjoy! Enjoy--everyone! ...And happy teaching!
Luv,
Jill (BT)
