Re: Assessing a Daily Grade

I have a rubric that I use for daily assessment. I see the students (grade
7 and 8) only once in a 6 day cycle for 80 minutes, so I really need some
regular grades or I would have very few marks to go on at the end of the
term. I include the sketchbook assignments as part of the daily grade.
They are required to complete one drawing in their sketchbook per class.
We use levels 1-4, 4 being the highest - they are exceeding the
expectations, and 3 means that they are meeting the Ministry Curriculum. 1
and 2 are below grade level expectation. I do this as a self-evaluation
and an evaluation by me.
