I am helping our local Art resource center develop ideas for the Quest
Learning Academy (a charter school geared to help students
achieve--specially designed curriculum). Most of the students are African
American. I already sent them my favorites from the web (most from
Incredible Art Department) as well as my list of lesson plan links.
I have plenty of ideas to get them started. Keep posting really great ideas
to this list (Hey, this is how some of you can help me! I told you I would
let you know). I should add that while these are kindergartners....they are
developmentally behind. So the lessons should not be too complicated. I
checked the Getty Archives and copied what I could find there, too.
