I was reading this thread and became distrubed by many of the biting
things that were said. We have to realize that each school district, let
alone each school is different. At my old school, bathroom passes were not
permitted. I realize that sounds harsh. However, bathroom passes gave
students the opportunity to cause trouble in the school. Some students
smoked pot in the bathroom on their trip. Others simply went down to the
office to start a fight - never made it to the bathroom. Now what's harsh?
The school's stand on bathroom passes? Or the student who was thrown across
an office by another student with a bathroom pass? Let's remind ourselves of
our diversity; that's why this list works so well.
