I have a student who is VERY sensitive. I am talking with the counselor
tomorrow about him, but I thought I would ask for some ideas from you all.
He has very sharp mood swings - from happy to sad. I have yet to see anger.
The mood swings are prompted by change, any little change. (He reminds of
the little boy in "Parenthood" with Steve Martin. He would have been Steve
Martin's son, the one who cried all the time.) The student does have a few
"problems"; he had lead posioning when he was young which "gave" him ADD. I
am concerned how to handle him in class, especially when projects are not
turning out right. I know, I know, encourage him and all that stuff.
However, I was wondering if there were some other ideas out there to avoid
stressful situations for him. Thanks for the input...
