Make a strict written contract that outlines the positive behavior you
expect, and the consequences that will apply should the kids not meet your
expectations (pulled form class for a week with responsibility to make up
work, or permanently with an "F," etc. ) Get administration to back you
up, and the kids to read and sign it if they agree. Then stick to it. You
have the other 32 kids to worry about...if the non-participators boot
themselves out of class, it is not your problem. Good luck.
