There are many quilt artists -- alive and well, and historical. Try Ruth
McDowell, Susan Carlson, Carol Bryer Fallert, the list goes on ! Check out
the New England Quilt Museum website (I dont have the address handy but it
should come up in a search), and the Quilt Art Gallery
(http://www.quiltart.com/gallery.html ).
