i also have the mind's eye series which i use on sub days, too. i =
recommend them highly. the students watch them and sketch while they =
watch. after the video is over, they combine and refine their own =
sketches into one image and can add marker, colored pencil, crayon, =
collage stuff from the scrap paper box...it works really well for us! =
btw, my class periods are 80 minutes long. let me know if you have q's =
or need more info.

Part Three Directions: Make up a short story that you think would work =
well as an animated sequence like the ones you saw on the video. You can =
even use characters from one of the stories you saw if you want, but you =
have to make up your own story. Write your story below. You can attach =
another piece of paper if you need to.

Part Four Directions: Sketch out an illustration of one scene from your =
story. Include the characters and background. Color it if you have time.
