About a month ago, I sent a message to this group for ideas on how to =
construct gargoyle wings for a Halloween float costume. I am deeply =
indebted to the person who suggested using carpet padding. It worked =
great and it lasted for all four parades. My Art Honor Society placed =
1st in three parades and 2nd in one other. We also garnered the grand =
prize in one parade. For three weeks work, about $375.00 in costumes =
and construction needs, we were still able to make a profit because we =
won $750.00 in prize monies! It also was a great opportunity for people =
in the surrounding communities to ask "What is the National Art Honor =
Society?" Great publicity for all of us!
Thanks again for all the help and to the others that shared their =
suggestions.
