Dear Sandy:
That was extremely inconsiderate of her to take apart those sculptures! I
too would have been furious. She could have worked it out with you. How would
she feel if you undid a lesson she just taught? You did the right thing by
going to the principal. I hope he/she handles it properly. O.K., now, here
is what I would push for. I think she should acknowledge she was wrong &
apologize to the students for undoing the sculptures. Of course, we are not
in a perfect world, but it would send a strong message to all of the students
involved. Next, if you are required to teach sculpting, they should supply a
place for them to dry etc. I wish I were there to give you a hug. Take care.
