This morning the vice-principal came in to give me my official discussion
following my observation. He said that in the past week my lessons had
improved, but last week he got some phone calls from parents and some
complaints from teachers because the kids were not taking art work home every
I have a three ring binder with computer typed lesson plans separated by
grade. When the VP asked for my plan book I showed him the plan book and
Today he told me I have to do my plan book like the other art teacher as well
my sub folder. Is this normal?
And that's not all. The other art teacher mentioned to me earlier this week
that another teacher at one of the other schools had enjoyed a pizza printing
lesson I had done. She decided to borrow it. No problem, except that today
she made a point of telling a teacher in the lunch room that that class would
be doing a really cute pizza lesson that she had found in a book. She
couldn't even give me credit for that idea. Now if I do it there it looks
like I copied her and couldn't come up with something on my own.
He told me as long as I try to improve I'll be fine.
Hanging in there.
