Hi Gabrielle,
I have made a plaster cast of my hand using some stuff that comes in a can.
I bought it at Michael's Crafts. If I remember correctly you mix the powder
with water, pour it into a plastic bowl or even a milk carton and stick your
hand in it. You have to wait a while for it to dry and keep your hand as
still as possible! (This was the hard part) Then when dry (I think it was a
bit rubbery)...you slide your hand out, pour plaster in and let it set. Then
when it is set, remove it from the container and pull off the rubbery
"stuff." One of my fingers broke off during the process but the cast hand
had every single detail...all the lines in the fingers came out and the
fingernails looked great! I will find out exactly what the stuff is called
or maybe someone else on the list knows what I am talking about. I know it
wasn't cheap!
Hope this helps.
