Last semester a student used plaster to make a cast and mold. We lined
the mold liberally with petroleum jelly. The cast came out okay. She needed
to rub some of the excess jelly off so she could paint on the plaster. (I
hope I used the words cast and mold right. I always forget which is
which...)
