Don't feel too bad. I used to teach at a small school in Kansas, and I was
Prom sponsor-- art teacher=creative=good prom sponsor...
Anyways, I had students try to sneak a bottle of JD into Prom, had a cooler
of beer hidden outside the back door of the gym, had a drunk student punch
the mirror in the bathroom and break 3 knuckles. All in one year. FUN!!

Three students were suspended and the rest were guests, so couldn't do much.
Calling the police was unheard of. (unfortunately)
