I saw a similar lesson on the Carol Duvall show. First you need to soak the
egg peelings for just a bit so the translucent skin inside the shell will
peel off easily. I think she use a decoupage glue or white glue & painted
that on top of the box. Next she tapped on the broken shells & when she
smashed them down they broke into tiny pieces. She then flattened & separated
them out with the back of the paint brush or her finger to look like broken
tile. When dry, she painted another coat of decoupage. No grout was used.
