The book Making Things was referred to yesterday. It is a favorite of mine
and was most helpful when I first began teaching... I highly recommend it to
all of you new teachers- it is by Ann Wiseman- hope it is still in print! It
has a great how-to in it for zoetropes/ animation in art.

Can you help, colleagues? The PTA at my K-2 school has offered $1/child
toward a holiday gift project for all the kids. I have already done terra
cotta pot painting and frames as well. (BTW, Ikea sells a 3pk. of frames for
1.67 or so- plain birch 4x6 frames with glass- we had a blast- there was so
much we could do with them).
Now I need some new inspiration... I'm thinking papier mache somethings??
Thanks for any thoughts you may have,
June (in Jersey)
