we also make port folios... out of 2 poster boards... decorate one side
using concentrating on lettering including name, grade, class, and year

decorating the other side with a picture, sometimes using markers,
watercolors, or crayons... sometimes we laminate them and when we do
sometimes we use pastels. we use the thick clear tape to zip them up...

i have students to store art work in them that has been graded and also the
work in progress. i ask students to leave all work in art room until the
end of the year and they can take a full art port folio home along with
some new sheets of paper so they can draw over the summer... this way if we
have an unexpected parent's night or art contest the administration thinks
we should participate in... all i have to do is go to their port folio and
help them choose things that are already done...
