<< Does anyone have any ideas for something that I can do (lesson wise) for
about 10 minutes that would require minimal setup-cleanup and yet be (dare I
say--hehehe) as "impressive" as my talk would have been? I teach students
grade 5-12 so it should be middle/high school-oriented.
Thanks for your help (again, and again, and again!)
At our open house I had all the parents draw using a lesson from "Drawing on
the right side of the brain" I photocopied the Picasso drawing of the
composer (I forget his name) and give one plus a pencil and a piece of paper
to each parent. If your familiar with the lesson, the object is to draw form
the picture upside down. The premise is that the brain recognizes shapes and
shapes aren't as intimidating as the whole picture. The parents were amazed.
I posted the results for all the students to see.
