Dear Sandy,
I have learned to stop letting that bother me, and let people enjoy the
artwork hung up in the hallways. If a student in class says that something
is CUTE, THEN you can say, "Well, puppies and kittens are cute, but you LIKE
this? Why?" and help them with the correct descriptive words. :)
