I am looking for tips and advice on figurative ceramic sculpture. I know
pieces can be modeled then when leatherhard separated, hollowed, and
reattached. I am aware that armatures can be used to support a piece but
there are some things about them I have never really understood. Does the
armature stay inside? If so, what do you use that can go in the kiln?
Any other suggestions on making well-crafted modeled pieces (about twelve
inches tall)?
