Because the administrators said so. I replied to this, I think, maybe in an
individual answer...I once asked to have classical Christmas music and was
told my tape player and tapes would be confiscated if I did. No one is
allowed to have music, it might seem like the kids were having Fun, God
forbid...and no holiday parties, granola bars (which we were doing as a fund
raiser), pizza parties, candy sales, bottled water sales. The only music
allowed is for homecoming when the band plays through the halls. Last year
the counselors and secretaries wanted to have a pizza party for the co-op
office helpers and were emphatically told no way. This is SUCH a fun place to
work...blaaaughhh. Way back when we had other principlas, we had fun with the
students and work was an enjoyable experience. The students want no part of
"their" school. Every dance and events other than the prom have been
cancelled due to lack of participation. Wonder why.
