I teach Middle School. So far, technology at school is playing
catch-up with technology at home. I now have two PC computers
in my classroom. The initial art software I had to purchase myself.
I could not afford PhotoShop of Fractal Paint, so I bought
PhotoDeluxe and Art Dabbler. Those programs work fine for Middle
School students. Through our Ohio Technology Grant, I got a
scanner (but only because of the lessons I was going to do to
promote learning in science) and an HP 1120C printer (same
reason). I have another printer that I purchased myself and a Zip
drive I purcahsed myself. I use the Internet throuogh techer guided
lessons via my Web Page:
My Elida server site (redone to load faster) has not been inactive
since June. I'll post it when our Tech Coordinator activates the link.
We have 15 PC's availabel in the library and 18 in a separate
computer lab. This year I will get PhotoDeluxe and Art Dabler on
the 15 of the computer lab PC's.. through the tech grant. I have
access to a digital camera at school...but could not get one
urchased exclusively for art. We're making progress.

Hopes this helps your research.
