Isn't there something soooo exciting about creating with wood pieces!?! In
my many trials and errors I have come across two absolutely BEST adhesives
for adhering wood to wood-or just about anything to wood, for that matter!
Go to your nearest hardware store and pick up a large tube of Liquid Nails.
his putty-like glue really, really works, is inexpensive, and goes a long
way. >>
Thank you so much for the Liquid nails tip! I have tons of wood pieces that
I want the kids to do assemblages and wood sculptures with, but, I didn't
know what would work as an adhesive.
BTW, Besides teaching HS art I also Instruct at my karate school where I am a
Black belt candidate. Once a month we have belt testing and part of the more
advance belts' test includes board breaking. Guess who's right behind them
collecting the scraps??!!! If you live or work near a karate studio, ask
them about the wood!! Most of them just toss it out!<gasp>
