I have used iliquid starch diluted and undiluted......just to make it go
further, I would suggest adding a bit of water.

Just yesterday I used Ross paste for the first time and it is wonderful. A
little goes a long way, no weird smell or color, it keeps well after being
mixed with water, and the finish on the papier mache is awesome. So this is
how others have projects that look so great! Got this idea some time ago on
this list serve. Thanks.

Another first for me was to use the colored roll paper as a final
coat....looks great, too. (I had to resort to something besides paint
because I'm the one stuck with the awful Living Colors Washable tempera!)
