If tiles are left to dry rapidly on a wooden board their upper surfaces dry
faster than the bottoms and they warp. There are two ways of drying flat
tiles that I know.
1. Cover them with plastic sheets for a day or so and then loosen a bit each
day after so the air gets to them slowly.
2.But the best way is to put them between 1/2 inch sheets of wall board or
sheetrock. and then stack them in 3 or 4 layers. The paper on the sheets will
absorb some of the water and there is no need for plastic in this method.
When the tiles are leatherhard they can be removed to finish drying flat.
