<< But I need to know how to make sure the slip will not crack off the
white clay. Can I use red clay, or do I have to use the same kind of clay
and
change its color by adding iron oxide to it? I have a book that tells how to
color clay, but I'm wondering if it's necessary. I have red clay that could
be watered down and painted on if that would work. >>
Yes, I believe it has to be the same clay, and it has to be put on the
greenware pot and burnished in a bit. I don't find this as easy at it seems!
Lost a whole lot last year using bought slip from another source.
