Re: trite symbolism

I am doing the Egyptian alphabet (syllables, too) with my 6th graders. They
are coming along well. Try getting the alphabet ona print out for them, and
use some of those symbols. I liked the idea about the "rule" too...no
hearts, etc.

How about have it structured around a culture. Mayan symbols, Aztec
temple designs, African Adinkra symbols- or make up their own name
with a symbol.
