I agree with Cindy's thoughts on beauty and pleasure. My students and I have
had some thoughtful and lively discussion. We discuss the fact that sometimes
what we term as a beautiful experiences may be "aesthetic" experiences whether
they relate to beauty or not... they are those rare moments that raise our
experiential antennae and makes us rise above the common emotions and .... for
that brief moment ... we see the "big picture" our common experiences. We
then return to earth and remember the experience as beautiful.
