I haven't been doing Halloween stuff in the last few years, beacause of =
other units going on at the time, but one lesson i really liked to do =
was to set up a still life of Halloween decorations, have a witch's hat =
(a cone for shading) as the main focal point and a variety of other =
objects and textures. I gave the kids grey construction paper and a =
media choice such as oil pastels, crayons, pencil, fine line black =
marker, or charcoal. Did a basic still life lesson, foreground, =
background, overlapping etc. I usually do this lesson with 5th grade and =
it's a good basic lesson with a Halloween theme, so the kids are happy.
