>From what I have observed whether women like it or not, the women I know
who are able to do great amounts of art work and hold a teaching position
do not have any further time demands--ie, their kids are grown and
independant and they have divorced their men. I find that a husband takes
and deserves some of your time, so do each of your kids--their are choices
to be made in this world. I remember clearly listening to a male foreign
language teacher complaining about how he has so much work to do that he
goes home and locks himself in his study and works all night until late to
do a good job. I said that I pick my kids up from their various
activites, cook dinner for everyone, organize dishes, organize and help
with homework, do baths, read stories, and put to bed--then I start my
work from school. There is only so much time. Priorities must be chosen
and decisions must be made. Do what is important to you. Sid
