I have Mark Kistler's site bookmarked, and his perspective techniques have
aided me with 4-6th grade...but my First and Third Grade daughters literally
cheered this past summer when Pappy was discovered on PBS. We made a file
with paper and pencil and crayon for them to grab quickly when he came on. TV
is not a big part of their days in the summer, but when Pappy happened to pop
on, they thoroughly enjoyed him. I think he is very engaging, and will use
some of his step by step techniques with my younger students. I strive to
allow creative freedom for the most part, but confidence building is important
too. Step by step processes with little ones seems to help.
