A great source of reference is dejanews.com - it searches all the
newsgroups w/keywords, provides a spam-free way to post/receive e-mail
from the newsgroups, and has a my dejanews section where you can
personally configure newsgroups, etc. Definitely worth checking out
http://www.dejanews.com
