Today you received several postings from university students who are eager
to learn from each other and more experienced teachers out in the
classroom. These preservice teachers are appreciative of the opportunity to
correspond, talk, and ask questions. I would like to refer readers to my
October 6, 1998 posting about this project. I hope you will welcome their

I would like to invite you all to join an Interinstitutional Dialogue
among art education faculty and preservice art education sudents at: The
University of Arizona; The University of British Columbia; Maryland
Institute, College of Art; and The Ohio State University. Our goal is to
facilitate online conversations about educational and community art ideas,
visual metaphors, and life-centered issues. We will be refering to the
artsEdNet website in our discussions.
Over the next few months, you will see a number of postings that begin with
the prefix "ID" in the subject area. If you would like to join us please
read these messages, respond, and visit our website. The URL is very long,
but here it is:
