Sorry, I will do everything within my power to kill public funding for the
arts. It's grossly unethical and harmful to the arts.

I can't imagine where the idea came from that public arts funding is an
automatic virtue - there are legitimate and persuasive arguments that
public funding fosters conformity of thought and grant dependence. Besides,
confiscating the money of a feedstore employee in South Dakota against his
will to fund art projects of the sort that please the Brie and Chablis
crowd is the worst sort of arrogence.

I hope your petition dies the quick and ignominious death it deserves.
