Would you please offer your opinion concerning testing in the arts... I =
do understand the necessity of securing the arts as part of the =
recognized curriculum in public schools. That certified art teachers =
teach these classes. But is testing the only way to validate a subject =
matter that can defy evaluation. Yes, I must evaluate my students, =
yet, it troubles me that I must now teach for a test. Certainly some of =
the joy of creativity will be diminished when there is so much time =
spent on defining what art is. Those of you that have reservations =
