Wow...I am truly surprised that the three responses to my comment about the
inappropriateness of the inclusion of the "anti-school" song in an educational
video are actually endorsing the use of the song. What age group do you
teach? The video is labeled grades 3-6 although I can see its use in middle
school - excluding the song segment. You all say that you and the kids found
it funny, laughing at disrespectful,violent acts against
teachers,administrators,and school that are sung/joked about. Then in another
post we are trying to help other teachers deal with disrespectful students and
can't understand why the kids act as they do. Whether you sang it as a kid
without any thought doesn't matter. This is an EDUCATIONAL video and such a
song has no place in it .The concept taught as the artist drew his storyboard
could have been done so using a different theme. I intend on still using the
video but will fast forward through that segment. Carol
