Vibeke,

Four or five years ago there was an exhibit at the Boston Museum of Fine
Arts which featured a dress made entirely of meat. I cannot remember the
title or the artist. The impact was pretty powerful, and the metaphor of
women as pieces of meat was clear. With the weight of the meat stitches
were pulling holes at the seams. There was a faint odor. I imagine its
appearance changed over time as the meat dried. I kept imagining what it
would feel like if I was wearing it. I looked for bugs. I wonder if it
still exists. Gosh, it still gives me the shivers.
