Lesson Plans

classroom teachers and missing (?) supplies...

Hi there--

Last week I went to lunch and came back to the room to discover that a rack of
scissors (rack included) had disappeared from the cart in the art room. I was
semi-beside-myself--knowing it did not pay to go all the way. First thing I
did was to put the custodians on the case but they came up with zero. Today
when I got back to that school I put a little note in all the classroom
teachers' mail boxes:
"Dear Teachers,
A rack of scissors left the art room last Tues. during the school day and has
not come back :( If you borrowed it, please return it. I promise I'll loan
you scissors, etc. whenever I can but I need to know where materials are when
they are needed for Art class--
Thanks much :) "

Within a half hour a contrite (new) teacher came to my room with the rack of
scissors. Victory. Sweet. Didn't ever expect to see them again!
