In the Ecological Art Perspectives and Issues section, I looked at Ecological
design and Ecological Restoration.
Agnes Denes titled her work Wheatfield-A Confrontation and wants people to
rethink their priorities. This field is in the middle of a city, planted on a
landfill. Would this confrontation have the same effect if it were a field of
roses rather than wheat?

Malcolm Cochran created Field of Corn in Dublin, Ohio. The corn ears are made
from concrete and stand 6' high. How would the impact of the field change if
it were 'planted' in a city among skyscrapers, where so much concrete already
exists? Would the material have to change to challenge the new surroundings?
