Re: sharpening pencils

I don't have an art room, but if I did, I would do what I saw in one of my
first grade rooms. At the beginning of the year all pencils are collected by
the teacher. She keeps them all, and sharpens them and keeps them in a coffee
can. When kids need a new point they turn in the dull one for a sharp one.
She has special helpers sharpen the dull pencils at her convenience. No more
lines at the sharpener!
