Hi=20
Our Architecture grant which we called "ART BUILD" was a small mini =
grant from our local education foundation that services our neighboring =
communities. We have applied for 4 grants and received money for all 4. =
Our focus has been to use the money to purchase materials, visuals, and =
artifacts for continued use in our classrooms ( all 4 of our elementary =
schools and the art program). We have had a Mexican Folk Art grant, the =
Architecture one, Art Trek which was an exploration in LMC research on a =
modern artist and art production with the art teacher. Art Trek was with =
5th grade and the ART BUILD, and Art Mex graants were cross grade level =
1st - 5th. This year we have a grant on "Native American Heritage and =
Culture" which is also cross grade level. I have seen sites on the =
internet about grant writing. Our application was fairly easy, but we =
were sure to include the latest buzz words and current trends in both =
Art Education and Standards based learning. Sorry I can't give you any =
web site info, but try searching yahoo or another search engine. Hope =
this helps.
