I use postcards for matching, sorting and classification - characteristics
of an artist's work, period or style. I laminate all of them, so that way
they can stay on the table during work. They are small and easy to 'play'
with. I usually buy books of postcards to use.
I also got a great set by ordering through the book:
"Mommy it's a Renoir'
by Aline D. Wolf

Pre-arranged sets of postcards to be used with each of the steps in
this
manual have been prepared by the author. For information send a
stamped self-addressed envelope to the above address.

This book is a good place to start for using postcards for art appreciation.
it starts with activities for younger children - but everything can be
adapted.
