I was not trying to make a negative comment when i wrote about subject matter.
I thought I was saying that I am here because I believe that this IS the place
where the dialogue is focused on key issues and that "WE" are the best minds
in education. (I will spare you twenty pages of my rationale on that
subject!)

I deeply appreciate the comment which suggested the importance of being aware
of the personal issues involving those of us in this profession. I think you
are right and I'm glad you pointed that out. Thanks to all of you who are
sharing yourselves here.

By the way, I'm really impressed with one point of information you provided in
that comment: HOW do you know that there are around 900 people on this list
serve? May I share that with the people at the AENJ workshops on critical
issues next week?

We're doing something that I think will be pretty great at conference--having
an ON-SITE chat room for one day--will let you know how it went after the
conference. I'm hoping that one of the Golden 900 will come up and introduce
themselves to me at Art Educators of New Jersey conference on Thursday or
Friday.

Starting to get nervous for all the presenters for AENJ next week (but if the
participants are like people on this list serve, they will be sure to make
their colleagues feel at ease)

Fondly, Judy in Jersey
