Just wanted to say thanks for the wonderful ideas of how to help
kindergarteners and first graders that are struggling to learn letters
and numbers learn them through art projects. Also, I wanted to share
that I agree that no one should withdraw from sharing ideas because a
few have to put down others. Same thing happened to me when I found
this group and I stopped sharing and bacame an obserever only. But
this resource is way too important to let a few destroy. I don't know
if anyone shared this idea for first graders for Halloween so here
goes: Have them work in teams of about 3 and give them a box turned on
its side with windows and a door cut out (like a dollhouse look), then
have them decorate their box to look like a Haunted House with cut out
ghosts, pumpkins, decorations in the window, etc.
