This is in answer to the art teacher trying to motivate students who
either are not interested in art or who said they do not have the
skills, or think they do but don't. The books, Imagination Station and
the Draw Squad by Mark Kistler have wonderful approaches and ideas for
learning to draw for this age group. If you teach his ideas in a step
by step approach you will hook those non believers and without their
knowing improve the skills of the kids who thought they knew what to
do. I have students who have come back to me and said that I taught
them how to draw after many years have passed. Some were my toughest.
Hope this helps.
